Principal Welcome Message

Amy Archuleta

Welcome to Woodlands! We are very excited to begin the 2016/2017 school year. Our staff has been working hard to prepare for the new year and cannot wait to get started.

I would like to introduce several new teachers and staff members. Jennifer Orr is joining us as a Resource Room teacher. Jocelyn Julian will be teaching our new kindergarten self-contained district level program. Amy Zimmer has joined the office staff as a teacher’s assistant and Gretchen Boike is the new office clerk. We also have Wade Demmert teaching band and Megan Webster teaching our new orchestra program. We are proud to have these new additions to our staff.

This year we will continue to emphasize three important school rules: Be Responsible, Be Respectful, Be Safe. Our staff’s dedication to Positive Behavior Supports is stronger than ever. Last year we implemented a self-manager program to reward those students who consistently follow our school rules. Thank you in advance for supporting this work with your children. As always, student safety and security is our top priority.

At Woodlands we want to partner with our families in order to assure student success. We hope that you will share your child’s strengths and challenges with us so we can best meet their needs. We work for you.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. Again, welcome to the 2016/2017 school year!
