Students must stay home if they have:

Fever of 100° or greater: Children should be fever-free for 24 hours without using fever-reducing medication before returning to school.

Diarrhea more than twice in a 24 hour period: Children must stay home until they have no loose stools for 24 hours, unless other symptoms are still present.

Vomiting: Children must stay home until they can tolerate a normal diet without vomiting for 24 hours.

Influenza: Children may have the flu if they have a fever along with body aches, chills, sore throat or cough. Children must stay home until they are symptom-free for 24 hours.

Rashes: If children have rashes along with a fever or other signs of illness, they must see a health care provider and be cleared to return to school.
